October 2021 orders

Since the closing of the Canadian weaving mills we've been ordering our signature striped flannel from the U.S. and India. With all the disruptions in trade and transportation we've decided not to order more stiped flannel this year. We're going to use up what we have and buy other interesting fabrics locally.  If you want a nightshirt, button top or zippered gown in our classic stripes this season, don't delay.  We're testing out some new flannel prints and will be adding them shortly.  If you were thinking of ordering a square yoke or collared gown, check back for new choices shortly.  There will even be two fully printed square yoke gowns this season!  There are also nine new cotton gown...

2021 Orders

On February 10th we shipped the last of the backlog of orders. It was the longest Christmas season ever! We're so grateful for the patience everyone showed.  All of the elves were promised a two week break as soon as the last parcel was shipped and that's what's happening here now.  The shopping cart has been re-enabled but new orders won't be cut, sewn and shipped until the end of February.  If you need something sooner, let us know and we'll do our best.

January 2021

With heavy hearts we disabled our shopping cart again today (January 13). It pains us to think of customers watching their mail box for their cozy new flannels, or waiting to hear if their thoughtful gifts for others had arrived. We've been touched by how much patience everyone has shown. Thank-you. We’re putting all of our effort into getting your orders out and won’t be taking any new orders for now. If you placed your order before December 3rd, it’s likely on its way. Although the cutters and sewers work from home, the new emergency measures could affect our deliveries to them. Also, our shipping department will now consist of one lonely elf. We’ll continue to do the best we can while...

How to get your order more quickly

We are still cutting and sewing each order as it arrives. If you want to get an order more quickly there are two ways to do that. If you live within range (Grey Bruce County), you can select the “pick up” option when checking out and reduce the time your order might spend in transit.  Picking up your order is as safe as can be.  It will be waiting for you outside in a one-horse open sleigh. Also, you can call and see if we have the item you want on the shelves. There are even some of the beloved multi striped items here – but not enough sizes to list on the website.  Feel free to call and someone...

Shipping Times

"How long will my order take?" This is a question we hear a lot.  This season, to conserve fabric, we're cutting and sewing most items as they are ordered.  Garments are cut the day after they're ordered and sewn during the following week. The elves are stitching as fast as they can and your cozy parcel should be at your door in three weeks - or maybe less.  Let us know if you need it sooner and we'll do our best to meet your deadline.  We're grateful for your patience.
